Aberdour teen, Matthew McVay has hit the water running since taking up kayaking nearly two years ago. The 14 year old's hard work in training at Kinghorn Loch has paid off. He came top of his division at the recent championships at Nottingham's Holme Pierrepont, which has seen him promoted to a higher competitive level. He returns to the city in September with the aim of getting into the top three for his age group in Britain.
Matthew had a helping hand from Concept Group who provided him with a state of the art sprint kayak.
