The Synergix 8825 is a modular solution-so it's flexible and easy to upgrade. It works with your system today and tomorrow. You can even customize the printer for your media requirements: it offers one- or two-roll media capacity, an optional manual sheet bypass and several finishing options. A wide array of performance-enhancing options allow you to build a Synergix 8825 to meet your business needs. This networked solution is so simple to use that anyone in your workgroup or department can make prints quickly and easily. The printer easily combines with the new Synergix Scan System adding walk-up copying functionality to your printer. And best of all, with the Synergix 8825 and Synergix Scan System scanning and printing are concurrent. There is no need to wait for print jobs to end prior to making a copy. The Synergix Digital Solution offers job interrupt and automatic restart to accommodate walk-up copying needs. In addition, the Synergix 8825 can be upgraded with finishing support with a choice of an on-line folder or a stacker for up to 1000 sheets.
Whatever the media, the Synergix 8825 gives you high-quality A- to E- size (ISO A4-A1) prints…at true 400 dpi resolution. You'll get 128 levels of gray scale and single-pixel lines for superior legibility with consistent, uniform fine lines, smooth curves, and exceptional detail and shading for outstanding black and white prints of color originals, photographs and aerials.
The printer's media drawer can hold a 500 foot (152.4 meters) roll of bond, tracing paper or vellum, or a 150 foot (45.72 meters) roll of polyester film, at various roll widths between 11 inches to 36 inches (279.4 mm to 914.4 mm) wide. This makes it possible to support a mix of ISO, ANSI, and architectural sizes. When equipped with 2 media drawers, the printer automatically switches from one roll to another of the same media size and type to minimize trimming requirements and enable longer unattended operation.
The Synergix 8825 automatically recognizes the most widely used file formats eliminating time-wasting external conversion for:
The Synergix 8825 solution includes a complete suite of AccXES™ client software tools, along with multiple print drivers to provide easy access to the printer's capabilities from within commonly used engineering and business applications. Adobe PostScript 3 drivers are also available as an option.
Included with the Synergix 8825 Printer, the Web Printer Manager Tool (Web PMT) is integrated directly within the AccXES™ Controller and accessible through standard browsers, such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer. This software provides remote access for printer and job queue management, media availability, and the ability to view and extract accounting information as well as manage most printer settings. This tool greatly reduces the frustrations from depleted media or of unforeseen media mismatches. If the right media is not available, users can choose to halt jobs, print on whatever media is available, or allow the printer to start the next job, holding and flagging the current one as a mismatch, for resolution as soon as possible. Administratively, this software allows responsible personnel to monitor multiple printers from their desktop, noting media status and error conditions that can then be resolved.
The Document Submission Tool enables you to construct print jobs of one or more data files, set up print options, and print directly from your desktop. With the Document Submission Tool, it is easy to combine documents created by different applications into a single collated set, eliminating assembly time and avoiding potential hand-collation errors. Any document available in a format recognized by the AccXES™ Controller can become part of a larger set. Once defined, document sets can be saved and edited for reprinting on demand. Easy-to-use page composition capabilities and automatic stamping options add to the value of this software.
Finally, Synergix 8825 Printer client software, the key to providing document users, creators and support personnel with application and document flexibility, is downloadable from the Xerox internet site.
With the Synergix 8825 Printer you can make point-of-need printing power available wherever it is required for business needs, using the protocols and connections that are already in place. The controller's 10/100 Mbit Ethernet port includes onboard support for the widely used TCP/IP protocol (the standard-protocol for the Internet, all intranets and many local and wide area networks). Other protocols such as NetBEUI and Ethertalk can be concurrently supported through external print servers connected to the parallel port.
To further your productivity, the Synergix 8825 Printer uses the Xerox-patented Trickle Development System. This breakthrough technology eliminates the need to change your developer by mixing carrier with toner. In the past, toner and carrier were delivered to the developer sump separately… each requiring replacement at different intervals. The Trickle Development System "trickles" carrier in with the toner for continuous replenishment. From the very first print, to the very last, the Synergix 8825 Printer's image quality remains at peak levels because of this innovative technology. On other development systems, the print quality fluctuates depending on factors such as whether the toner is about to run out, or whether you've just replaced the toner cartridge. The Xerox Trickle Development System also reduces the number of service calls required to maintain the Synergix 8825 Printer.
Through its worldwide service staff, formal maintenance programs and agreements with dealers and agents, XEROX insures: a base level of service per agreement, a fallback resource in the event of need, and access to additional analyst resources per agreement.
Most important, the Xerox Total Satisfaction Guarantee comes with every Synergix 8825 Printer. The first guarantee of its kind in the industry, and still the most comprehensive, the Xerox Total Satisfaction Guarantee places control in the your hands.
