From mixed sizes and formats, to quick check plots to large sets, on a variety of media, the Synergix 8830 Printer gives you high-quality output print after print. The Synergix 8830 Printer features true 400 dpi resolution, giving your documents superior legibility with consistent, uniform fine lines, smooth curves, and crisp, clear alphanumerics. The Synergix 8830 Printer also features true single-pixel lines for exceptional detail and shading. In addition, its half-toning capabilities give you excellent gray scale representations of printed files from color applications such as architectural renderings, 3-D models, and GIS maps.
The Synergix 8830 Printer provides labor-saving, cost-cutting finishing options, so you get more done in less time. In addition to electronic collation and stacking, the Synergix 8830 Printer offers you an optional programmable folder. The folder is a fully integrated, on-line document folder that consistently and accurately folds your engineering documents into standard A-size packets for easy handling and distribution. Up to 100 D-size and 50 E-size folded prints can be stacked at once in the folder's output tray. The folder is accessible from your desktop and features a user-friendly control panel and automatic jam ejection.
With its world-class print engine and high-powered AccXES™ Controller, the Synergix 8830 Printer gives you the throughput speed you need to significantly reduce job turnaround times and meet critical deadlines. The Synergix 8830 Printer has been designed with connectivity in mind to ensure smooth, easy integration into your systems.
The Synergix 8830 controller features a complete set of client software that enables a seamless print path for most network users. The Web Printer Manager Tool (Web PMT) on the Synergix 8830 Printer gives your systems administrator remote access to the printer for job queue management. It also enables users to view the print queue directly from their PC from any standard web broser such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer. You can also print data files directly from your workstation.
The Synergix 8830 Printer Document Submission Tool provides a simple user interface that enables you to construct a job composed of one or more data files, set up the print options, and print your job right from your desktop. With the Document Submission Tool it is easy to combine documents created by different applications into a single collated set, eliminating assembly time and avoiding potential hand-collation errors. Any document available in a format recognized by the AccXES Controller can become part of a larger set. Once defined, document sets can be saved and edited for reprinting on demand. Easy-to-use page composition capabilities and automatic stamping options as well as optional job accounting add to the value of this software.
Finally, Synergix 8825 client software, the key to providing document users, creators and support personnel with application and document flexibility, is downloadable from the XEROX web site.
The Synergix 8830 Printer is designed to integrate easily into virtually any systems environment. The controller features auto port sensing supporting concurrent use of serial, Centronics, VPI, SCSI-2, and network interfaces through simultaneous data transfers over all ports. The Synergix 8830 Printer also features print drivers for most standard operating systems. The controller will automatically recognize, convert, and print your files giving you a flexible, unattended network print solution for your engineering and business applications.
The printer offers several options, including a memory upgrade path to 192 MB, and an external print server allowing you to expand the Synergix 8830 Printer's capabilities as your needs evolve. The printer easily combines with the new Synergix Scan System adding walk-up copying functionality to your printer. And best of all, with the Synergix 8830 and Synergix Scan System scannning and printing are concurrent. And there is no need to wait for print jobs to end prior to making a copy. The Synergix 8830 Digital Solution offers job interrupt and automatic restart to accommodate walk-up copying needs. In addition, the Synergix 8830 can be upgraded with finishing support with a choice of an on-line folder or a stacker for up to 1000 sheets.
The Synergix 8825/8830 Printers utilize patented technology called the Trickle Development System. This technology eliminates the need to change developer by mixing carrier with toner in a continuous fashion. In competitive products, toner and carrier are delivered to the developer sump separately, each requiring replacement at different intervals. The Trickle Development System "trickles" carrier in with the toner for uninterrupted replenishment. The primary advantage of this technology is that from the first to last print, the Synergix 8830 Printer's image quality remains at peak levels. This is not the case with competitive printers on which the print quality can fluctuate depending on factors such as whether the toner is about to run out, or whether the toner has just been replaced. This unique process also reduces the number of service calls required to maintain the Synergix 8830 Printer.
One additional advantage of this technology is that your exposure to the toner is more limited than in competitive printers. Competitive printer solutions require you to pour toner from a bottle into a holder. The Synergix 8830 Printer toner is supplied in a canister that can be dropped into the printer. Again, limiting you and your colleagues' exposure to toner.
Fusing technologies are not all alike when it comes to image permanency. Images printed on printers using radiant fuser technology are susceptible to blocking and image transfer.
Blocking occurs when images are stacked, folded, or rolled and toner lifts off the image. Images printed on the Synergix 8830 Printer are permanent. Once the printer fuses the image it is virtually impossible to scratch off or remove from the media.
