Monitor and track what is printed, by whom and at what cost using uniFLOW Output Manager, which provides:
From large corporate enterprises to small local offices, schools to universities: wherever you need to improve the management and cost control of document output, uniFLOW can help.
The core of uniFLOW is the Output Manager, designed to save you time and money by providing effective controls over your entire print and Multi-Function Printer (MFP) fleet.
The UniFLOW Output Manager solution can be built from several different components depending on your needs. The server based software and modules provide the functionality while optional hardware provides access control to the devices. UniFLOW Output Manager software can also be integrated directly into the Canon MEAP (Multi-functional Embedded Application Platform) device to allow interaction with the user.
UniFLOW Output Manager fits perfectly with any size organisation. It is available in 10,50,100 and unlimited user versions to provide scalability and flexibility regardless of your business type.
Its web-based architecture allows the software to be run over multiple buildings, locations or sites with all the knowledge stored in a central SQL Server database.
This core functionality can be extended with the addition of one or more of the following modules:
Desktop Accounting - extends uniFLOW to all locally connected devices accessed over the network without using a print server.
Remote Printer Server - allows you to keep the print traffic on the local server while sending the accounting information back to the central database
Load Balancing - can redirect large jobs to a departmental printer or divert output to alternative devices in the event of a problem.
Server Clustering - allows uniFLOW to run on a clustered Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 server environment.
"Failover Solution" - UniFLOW Output Manager checks if the printer is available. If the device is down it re-routes the job to the next device in the group and sends the user a notification pop-up.
Universal Secure Printing - Confidential jobs can be held centrally on a print server and are only released when the user identifies themselves. The user can go to any device in any location with the knowledge that their job will be printed securely. Waste is also eliminated as documents are automatically deleted if they have not been released, rather than gathering dust on the printers output tray.
Identification Methods - many different ID methods can be integrated with uniFLOW including:
Fingerprint readers
Chip card readers
Magnetic card readers
Contactless card readers
Keyboard entry
MEAP Functionality - The secure print functionality of uniFLOW can be further enhanced by using Canon's Java based MEAP technology.
