In the Community

Living Our Values

Our people and communities are at the heart of Concept and the founding vision for our business. That's why we've developed strong partnerships and initiatives for making a positive impact in local communities.

And we often find that our values align closely with the clients we work with, further reinforcing the strength of our partnership. Over the years, we've spent days helping with tree planting, donating refurbished printers to worthy charities, cooking charity Big Breakfasts and more, and have raised money for a range of deserving charities.

Global Impact

As part of the Xerox family, our collective impact is on a global scale with innovation targeting global issues and over 25,000 hours of volunteer time delivered annually. Recent initiatives include marking Earth Day with a worldwide litter pick as part of a month of volunteering, with $10 per hour per employee also donated to charitable causes.

The Concept Cup

Launched in 2014, this 5-a-side football tournament brings businesses together to raise money for a chosen local charity with the coveted Concept Cup and bragging rights up for grabs. An auction and raffle generates further funds.

So far over £25,000 has been raised for charities including the North East Autism Society, Children North East and Hadrian’s School.

STV Children's Appeal

We worked with STV and the Scottish Schools Football Association sponsoring their Under 15s Soccer Sevens tournament encouraging boys and girls to take part.

£10,600 plus the initial £10,000 donation was raised to help make a difference to children and young people experiencing hardship in communities all over Scotland.

Tree Planting

We've been supporting The Woodland Trust with their national tree planting programme. The Trust is the largest woodland conservation charity in the UK.

Concept's planting team is helping the Trust to reach one of its three key aims, to establish native trees and woods with the aim of creating resilient landscapes for people and wildlife.

Access to its woods is free so everyone can benefit from woods and trees, and it's a great way for everyone to enjoy nature and the outdoors.
